With the advent of the weblog or “blog” for short, my writing venues changed forever. Now rather than keeping my stories and diatribes confined to a notebook that was locked away I was able to share them with others.
I first began “blogging” just as a way to keep my writing current. The readership from the beginning was designed to be myself and perhaps my family. I did not limit the audience to that; I merely assumed that would be all who would be interested in what I had to say.
Soon I began to get feedback from others who had stumbled upon my blogs. My reaction was equal parts astonishment and empathy. I was shocked that someone would actually read my writing and I really felt sorry for these people because obviously they were very bored.
Through the years the readership has grown beyond anything I could ever have imagined. Over the past year I have had nearly 1 million unique visitors who have stopped to read something I have written.
Much of my writing has been based on my own personal experiences and most of that has revolved around baseball. It is not that baseball is the only thing in my life. Well come to think of it, I have been told baseball is the center of my universe.
Besides baseball, I write a lot about live and my observation of the world. Some of these observations are serious but most times I try to find the humor in the experiences we have.
I hope you find some entertainment in what I have written. It has been a lot of fun sharing my experiences. If you would like to talk about a particular subject or if there is something you would just love me to cover, please feel free to contact me. I’m always looking for a good story idea.
